1 To 4 Ton Cable Pullers: Pull All The Way
Thursday, March 31st, 2011
We got a tree stump in our back yard , its diameter is about a bit greater than 4′ , it had annoyed us for quite some time , we’ve tried chainsaw on it but nothing can go through it, lately we bought a 4 ton cable puller , hooked onto a pickup and pulled the stump out without major effort!
Actually cable pullers are heavy duty pulling tools and can be used to do a lot of things, sometimes you even can use it in pace of ATV Winch to save money. A typical cable puller has 1 ton to 4 ton pulling capacity, the lifting capacity is half of the pulling, and pull reach can be 6′ to 12′, 4 ton puller typically has 6′ reach but extra heavy duty ones may have more than 11′ reach. People sometimes call these cable pullers “Come Along”, but come along refers to a lot of different hand tools besides cable pullers, such as chain hoists, chain pullers, hand winch, strap pullers, and more, in a word, a come along is a hand operated ratchet lever winch. Typically hand winch is used to pull boat out of water on the boat trailer or lower the boat into water, that’s why you see ‘boat trailer winch”, and hand winch has to be fixed onto something before use while you can just hook cable puller onto something immobile , such as a tree.
For stretching, pulling, lifting and lowering, cable pullers are the best choice. To pull vehicles onto the trailer or release the vehicle off the trailer, to pull or tear down trees, to lift or lower heavy stuff in your house, pull the stuck trees out of somewhere , compare to electric powered winch, such as ATV winch , cable pullers are inexpensive handy tools. OK, it’s time to get some pullers, the way to do it is to get it online, a few searches away there will be more than a few nice deals.
